The history of a failed experiment or how the Romanian lost half a century. From Marxist-Leninist utopias and Stalinist loyalties to a lamentable failure, in poverty, corruption and isolation. A history of communism in Romania which tries to describe the decisions of the past in order to better understand their effect on the present. A regime settled with external assistance by the Comintern generation that had emerged between the two world wars integrates and tries to justify itself by taking over the aspirations of the Romanian society, particularly those regarding independence and development. To what extent was this justification successful is still a question we all have to answer.
